Shipping policy
Last Updated: September 22, 2026
At Stem & Cellar, every arrangement is handcrafted to order, and many of our gifts include alcohol sourced from licensed suppliers. This policy explains where we deliver, how long delivery takes, what it costs, and the specific requirements that apply to gifts containing alcohol.
Delivery Areas
Stem & Cellar currently delivers within Victoria only. We intend to expand our delivery area to other Australian states and territories over time, and any such expansion will be reflected on our website prior to taking effect.
Delivery Cost
Delivery is currently free on all orders within our delivery area.
Order Preparation & Lead Times
Every Stem & Cellar arrangement is carefully assembled and styled to order rather than pulled ready-made from stock, which is why we do not currently offer same-day delivery.
- Orders are generally prepared within 48 hours of successful payment confirmation.
- During peak gifting periods (Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas, and other end-of-year celebrations), additional preparation time may apply. We encourage customers to order early during these periods to avoid disappointment.
- At checkout, you will be asked to select a preferred delivery date and time. All orders require a minimum of three (3) business days' preparation and delivery lead time from the date the order is placed, regardless of the time of day the order is submitted.
- Deliveries are carried out Monday to Friday only. No deliveries or trading take place on Good Friday, ANZAC Day, or Christmas Day. If a selected date falls on a weekend or one of these excluded days, you will be prompted to choose an alternative date.
- Preferred delivery times are a request only and are not guaranteed. Final delivery timing remains subject to the availability and schedule of our third-party courier partner, and may also be affected by courier delays, public holidays, weather events, or other circumstances outside our control. Stem & Cellar is not responsible for delays caused by third-party delivery providers.
Order Tracking
You will receive a shipment confirmation email with your tracking number once your order ships.
Address Accuracy & Re-delivery
Please double-check recipient details at checkout. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address, correct recipient details, and any relevant delivery instructions, along with an address where someone suitable can accept the delivery.
Providing incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses may result in carrier return-to-sender fees or delayed transit. Re-delivery fees resulting from recipient absence or incorrect address details will be charged to the customer.
Alcohol Delivery Requirements
Some Stem & Cellar arrangements include alcohol. Alcohol is sold exclusively as a curated component of a genuine gift hamper or arrangement (combined with flowers), and is never supplied as a standalone product. Individual hamper alcohol volumes comply with legal caps, with a maximum of 2 litres of liquor per gift package. Alcohol products are sourced from licensed suppliers and delivered in their original, unopened manufacturer packaging; the floral component is a decorative presentation and may be removed before the alcohol product is opened.
By placing an order containing alcohol, the purchaser confirms that both the purchaser and the intended recipient are 18 years of age or older, and that the order is not intended for a person under 18. Stem & Cellar is not responsible for incorrect recipient details supplied by the purchaser, and reserves the right to cancel an order if age requirements cannot be verified.
The following conditions apply to every alcohol delivery:
- Strictly 18+ only. Both the purchaser and the recipient must be at least 18 years of age.
- ID checks on delivery. Couriers are instructed to conduct age verification (such as an ID25 check) at the point of delivery. Valid photographic identification may be requested.
- No unattended delivery. Alcohol gifts cannot be left in an unattended safe place or at a front door, and cannot be delivered to a person who appears to be intoxicated. If no one 18 or older is home to accept and sign for the package, or if valid proof of age cannot be shown, delivery will be refused and the package rerouted to a local collection point or re-delivered in accordance with our courier's terms. Additional delivery fees or redelivery charges may apply where delivery cannot be completed for these reasons.
Delivery Restrictions
Alcohol-containing products may be subject to delivery restrictions depending on location, state or territory requirements, courier requirements, or other legal obligations. Stem & Cellar reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders where delivery cannot be completed in accordance with applicable laws and liquor licensing requirements.
